Fluxus Box

This Fluxus box is inspired by the film Lady Bird. Lady Bird is about a young girl looking for acceptance and understanding in the world. At the beginning of the movie, she jumps out of a moving car while in a fight with her mom about moving. This scene plays an important role throughout the film. It shows her relationship with her mother and her rebellious attitude. The pink on the outside represents her cast and the word "F*ck U Mom" is what written on it. This cast is essential to understanding Lady Bird's life. It represents her emotional protection from the outside world. Inside there is a lint ball, a rubber band including one red, a magnet, and a crumpled note. Inside the paper is an unfinished note from her mother. Before she left for College her mother gave her the silent treatment. When you open the box, the lid includes a line of birds on a wire. Lady Bird craved freedom, but when she received it, it was not everything she expected it to be.
